How does communication between several Eezytrace tablets (inter-tablet) work?

General principle On a site using several tablets, specific settings (Inter-tablette) enable certain information to be shared: Tasks to be carried out Follow-up of self-service CSDs The same tasks and products thus appear on all the site's tablets.

On a site with several tablets, a specific setting (inter-tablet) shares some information between them, so the same tasks and products appear on all the tablets of the site:

  • tasks to do;

  • self-service use-by date tracking.

Good to know

  • Tablets do not communicate directly with each other.

  • Data goes through the Espace Manager.

  • A task completed on one tablet must be synchronized to the Espace Manager, then updated on the other tablets.

Step by step

  1. On tablet 1 (where the action is done)

    • Example: a temperature check is validated.

    • The tablet synchronizes the data automatically to the Espace Manager.

    • To force the synchronization: tap once on the number of records to synchronize (bottom right), then select Data synchronization.

  2. On tablet 2 (or any other tablet of the site)

    • The data is updated automatically from the Espace Manager.

    • To force the update: quickly tap 5 times on the date of the last synchronization (bottom left), then select Data update.

Essential conditions

  • The tablets must be connected to the Internet to send or receive data.

  • Without a connection, synchronization cannot happen, which creates a gap between the information shown on the different tablets.

💡 Tip: when in doubt, always run a manual synchronization before an important check so that all tablets show the same data.
