Can I use my tablet offline?

The Eezytrace application has been designed to give you optimum continuity of service, even when your tablet is not connected to the Internet. Thanks to its deferred synchronization system, you can continue working without interruption. This guide explains how offline recording and data synchronization work, step by step.

1. 📶 An app that works even without an internet connection

Even when your tablet isn’t connected to a Wi-Fi network, you can still create and finalize your recordings without any trouble.
For example, if you log out of your session and return to the users page, a blue banner at the bottom of the screen displays the number of recordings waiting to be synced.
In the example shown, there are 8 recordings to sync.

2. 🕓 Track synchronization information

In this same blue banner:

  • The date and time of the last sync are visible on the left.

  • The number of pending records is displayed on the right.

This allows you to keep a constant eye on your data status.

3. 🔄 How automatic synchronization works

As soon as the tablet reconnects to the Internet, Eezytrace:

  • Automatically detects the connection

  • And regularly and automatically syncs your records with the Manager Dashboard for secure long-term backup

4. 🟥 Checking the connection status

A visual indicator (dot) in the bottom right corner of the screen shows you the connection status:

  • 🟢 Green dot: the tablet is connected, synchronization is active

  • 🔴 Red dot: connection problem

  • ⚪️ Gray dot: Wi-Fi disabled

If the dot is gray, this means the Wi-Fi connection is turned off. You can tap this dot to confirm the status.

5. 📲 Manually reactivate the connection

To restore synchronization:

  1. Click on the gray dot

  2. Open the tablet menu

  3. Turn on Wi-Fi

  4. Once the icon turns green, the connection is restored

6. 🚀 Start synchronization manually (if needed)

You have two options once the connection is restored:

  • Wait for automatic synchronization

  • Start synchronization manually:

    • Click on the number of records in the blue bar at the bottom

    • Then tap the "Sync Data" button

Once synchronization is complete:

  • The number of records to sync changes to zero

  • The date of the last sync is updated

✅ Helpful Tip

We recommend that you regularly check that all your records are properly synced, especially at the end of the day, to ensure they are saved and available in case of an audit.

Conclusion

With Eezytrace, the continuity of your recordings is ensured, even offline. Thanks to the automatic or manual synchronization system, your data is protected and centralized. By adopting a few best practices, you can optimize the reliability of your daily self-checks.
